Behind every strong project stands a strong team – and EDU-DC brings together some of Europe’s most dedicated organisations working in football, education, and research. 

Led by the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB), the project unites: 
 Danish Football Association (DBU) – promoting talent development and dual career licensing models 
 Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) – building capacity and opportunities for young players across Bulgaria 
 Football Association of Ireland (FAI) – developing structures to help players combine sport and education 
 Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) – providing scientific expertise and leading the project’s research and evaluation 
 European Multisport Club Association (EMCA) – leading communication and dissemination across Europe

Together, these partners will map current dual career systems, design new training programmes, and pilot them in 20 European clubs. 

The project’s activities will not only support the next generation of football players but also strengthen the competences of the people who work with them — creating a long-lasting impact for clubs, federations, and the wider sports community.
